Shaunna Morrissette
Senior Physiotherapist / Owner
I live in Hatfields Beach with my husband and two children.
I qualified in 2006 at AUT University on the North Shore. I moved from Canada in my early 20’s to study Physiotherapy in New Zealand and travel abroad.
My experience as a Physio is very broad, however I am passionate about Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and have a particular interest in clinical Pilates. I enjoy integrating Pilates for the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of many injuries and conditions where appropriate. Other special interest areas I have include: injury prevention, back pain, children and youth in sport and older adults.
I have completed several post graduate level Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy courses and have trained as a clinical Pilates instructor. I continue to upskill by undertaking regular postgraduate courses in the above areas to provide the best possible care and outcomes for my patients.
I enjoy diagnosing presenting problems / conditions and provide a strong emphasis on manual therapy techniques, exercises, education and advice to help people achieve their goals.
I provide a holistic approach to patient care, and I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals to return to sport, recreational activities, or daily activities.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, playing tennis, running, hiking and exploring New Zealand.
